Ballet Russe Souvenir Program 1916-1917 American Tour

Softbound program from Vaslav Nijinsky's last American tour with the Ballet Russe. The tour ran from October 1916 to February 1917. Nijinsky's fame stemmed from his prowess in dance, then later as an avant garde choreographer. Under the direction of Sergei Diaghilev, the Ballet Russe revolutionized ballet choreography, costume, and set design. The color plates in the program retain their vibrant hues. This program is in fine condition with visible wear on the edges of the cover and a small tear at the top of one page.
